In 1964, Bob Moog changed the future of music when he unveiled the Moog Synthesizer, an instrument that opened the doors to the infinite possibilities of electronic sound. For over 50 years, Bob Moog’s synthesizers have been used to forge new ways forward; empowering the experimental avant-garde sounds of the 1960s, electrifying funk and disco during the 1970s, enabling new-wave in the 1980s, and anchoring the sonics of techno and hip-hop in the 1990s. Today, the sounds of the synthesizer are as ubiquitous in music as the human voice.
