The Ibanez AAM54-OPN is a western guitar in the Advanced Auditorium series with an open pore brown finish. It is designed for high playability and balanced tone in both studio and stage settings, suitable for solo and ensemble performance. The construction uses carefully selected tonewoods with attention to detail in both design and sound.

Tone and construction

The body has a solid sapele top with sapele back and sides, providing even, warm tone with long sustain. The specially designed X-M bracing enhances tone projection and balance across bass and treble, suitable for both pick and fingerstyle playing.

Sound port

The AAM54 features an A.I.R. Port (Acoustic-Information-Response) directed toward the player for improved monitoring. Angled wooden blocks guide the sound out of the port, providing clearer feedback without affecting the acoustic tone.

Neck and playability

The neck is made of okoume with low oval grip and a purpleheart fingerboard and bridge. It is designed for comfort and control with a 43 mm nut width and 634 mm scale. Jumbo frets provide flexibility for fingerstyle and pick playing.

Body and design

The Advanced Auditorium body with rounded edges provides a balanced playing position. Chrome die-cast tuners with 18:1 ratio and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins are included. Strings are D’Addario Coated Phosphor Bronze (012-053). Included gigbag: IAB540-BK.
