Acoustic Guitar with Pickup and Case, Jon Gomm Signature

Jon Gomm, a UK singer-songwriter, is known for his technical and rhythmic guitar style. The JGM10-BSN is developed in collaboration with him as part of the Ibanez Platinum Collection and is designed for fingerstyle playing with the ability to create a full band sound in real time.

Construction and Materials

The guitar features an asymmetrical jumbo body with a Thermo Aged™ solid Sitka spruce top and Thermo Aged™ X-M bracing. The back and sides are made of solid Pau Ferro. The neck is a five-piece construction of African mahogany and Pau Ferro with a satin finish. The fretboard is Macassar ebony. Jumbo stainless steel frets provide clear articulation and durability.

Electronics and Features

The guitar is equipped with a Fishman® Rare Earth Mic Blend Active Soundhole pickup and Tap pickup integrated via the PowerTap Earth Blend preamp. This allows a balanced tone from both body and neck. There are two outputs: a combined stereo/mono with built-in strap button and a mono flush-mount. Luminlay side dots provide visibility in low-light conditions.

Playability and Details

The neck has a 655 mm scale length, 45 mm nut width, and a 400 mm radius, with a compensated bone saddle. The Macassar ebony top-loading bridge delivers percussive response and facilitates string changes. Chrome die-cast tuners with an 18:1 ratio provide precise tuning.

Dimensions and Finish

The guitar has a black satin top finish and comes with a fiberglass case.
