Automated Control for Expression Devices

The Expression Ramper HK is a control unit for pedals with expression input. It allows you to define two points (A and B) and determine how the signal moves between them. Movement can occur in a single sweep or as a continuous LFO activated by a footswitch.

Tap Tempo and Movement Shapes

In addition to the Rate knob, a Tap Tempo function lets you set the desired speed quickly. The unit offers six movement types between points A and B:

• Triangle – linear back-and-forth movement
• Square – instant jumps between A and B
• 1 Shot – one-off sweep from one point to the other
• Smooth Random – linear movements to random points
• Sharp Random – immediate jumps to random points
• 1 Shot Random – random sweep between A and B stopping at the end

Connections and Compatibility

Expression Ramper HK features a 50K digital potentiometer compatible with most expression-enabled pedals. The output can be configured as TRS, TRS reverse polarity, or TS. An LED indicates the active setting.

Design and Construction

The unit has a compact enclosure and is powered by a 9 V DC adapter. The graphical design was created in collaboration with the art duo Holey Kids.
