Guild Starfire Deluxe DC GVT Emerald Green

Guild Starfire Deluxe DC GVT Emerald Green – semi-hollow electric guitar with HB-2+ humbuckers and Guild Vibrato

Guild Starfire Deluxe DC GVT Emerald Green is a double-cutaway semi-hollow electric guitar from Guild's Newark St. Collection, designed for players who want classic 1960s-inspired character combined with modern playability and a broad tonal range. Its arched maple top and back, maple sides and set mahogany neck provide a resonant semi-hollow construction with clear attack and an open response.

Two Guild HB-2+ humbucking pickups with Alnico V magnets cover everything from warm, full-bodied vintage tones to more assertive crunch with strong definition. Individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup are complemented by a Master Volume, allowing quick adjustment of the overall output level without changing the individual pickup settings.

The Emerald Green gloss polyurethane finish is paired with a Guild Vibrato tailpiece, Guild Tune-o-matic bridge, rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays and Grover G2TM open-gear tuners for a classic yet distinctive overall design.

Overview and features

Double-cutaway semi-hollow maple body

Starfire Deluxe DC features a double-cutaway semi-hollow body with an arched maple top and back and maple sides. The construction provides a resonant and open tonal foundation with clear attack, while the double-cutaway shape offers good access to the upper frets.

Guild HB-2+ humbuckers with Alnico V magnets

The two Guild HB-2+ humbuckers use Alnico V magnets and work together with the semi-hollow body to provide a broad tonal range. They can deliver both warm, full vintage character and more cutting crunch with clear attack and definition.

Individual Volume and Tone controls with Master Volume

Each pickup has its own Volume and Tone control, allowing the neck and bridge pickups to be adjusted independently. A separate Master Volume then lets you change the overall output level without altering the balance between the individual pickup settings.

Vintage Soft U mahogany neck

The set mahogany neck uses Guild's Vintage Soft U profile, providing a substantial yet comfortable playing feel with clear vintage inspiration.

Rosewood fingerboard with block inlays

The rosewood fingerboard features pearloid block inlays. Ivory-coloured fingerboard binding contributes to the guitar's classic Deluxe aesthetic.

Guild Vibrato and Tune-o-matic bridge

The Guild Tune-o-matic bridge is paired with a Guild Vibrato tailpiece, providing smooth and expressive vibrato capability while retaining a classic semi-hollow layout.

Deluxe Trim Package

The Deluxe trim package includes ivory-coloured binding around the body, F-holes and fingerboard, 3-ply black and ivory purfling on the top and back, pearloid Guild Peak and Chesterfield headstock inlays, a black pickguard and a rosewood bridge base.

Emerald Green gloss polyurethane finish

The Emerald Green gloss polyurethane finish gives the guitar a distinctive and elegant appearance that complements its vintage-inspired construction.
