Guild Starfire Deluxe SC GVT Honey Burst

Guild Starfire Deluxe SC GVT Honey Burst – semi-hollow single-cutaway electric guitar with HB-2+ humbuckers and Guild Vibrato

Guild Starfire Deluxe SC GVT Honey Burst is a single-cutaway semi-hollow electric guitar from Guild's Newark St. Collection, designed for players looking for classic 1960s-inspired character combined with modern playability and a broad tonal range. Its arched maple top and back, maple sides and set mahogany neck provide a resonant semi-hollow construction with clear attack and an open response.

Two Guild HB-2+ humbucking pickups with Alnico V magnets cover everything from warm, full-bodied vintage tones to more assertive crunch with strong definition. Each pickup has dedicated Volume and Tone controls, providing detailed control over balance and tone when the neck and bridge pickups are used individually or together.

The Honey Burst gloss polyurethane finish is paired with a Guild Vibrato tailpiece, Guild Tune-o-matic bridge, rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays and Grover G2TM open-gear tuners for a classic and refined overall design.

Overview and features

Single-cutaway semi-hollow maple body

Starfire Deluxe SC features a single-cutaway semi-hollow body with an arched maple top and back and maple sides. The construction provides a resonant and open tonal foundation with clear attack that works well for both clean and more driven sounds.

Guild HB-2+ humbuckers with Alnico V magnets

The two Guild HB-2+ humbuckers use Alnico V magnets and work together with the semi-hollow body to provide a broad tonal range, from warm vintage character and full-bodied depth to more assertive crunch and clear definition.

Dedicated Volume and Tone controls

Each pickup has its own Volume and Tone control. This allows the neck and bridge pickups to be adjusted independently and provides additional tonal flexibility when both pickups are combined.

Vintage Soft U mahogany neck

The set mahogany neck uses Guild's Vintage Soft U profile, providing a substantial yet comfortable playing feel with clear vintage inspiration.

Rosewood fingerboard with block inlays

The rosewood fingerboard features pearloid block inlays. Ivory-coloured fingerboard binding contributes to the guitar's classic Deluxe aesthetic.

Guild Vibrato and Tune-o-matic bridge

The Guild Tune-o-matic bridge is paired with a Guild Vibrato tailpiece, providing smooth and expressive vibrato capability while retaining the guitar's classic semi-hollow character.

Deluxe Trim Package

The Deluxe trim package includes ivory-coloured binding around the body, F-holes and fingerboard, 3-ply black and ivory purfling on the top and back, pearloid Guild Peak and Chesterfield headstock inlays, a black pickguard and a rosewood bridge base.

Honey Burst gloss polyurethane finish

The Honey Burst gloss polyurethane finish gives the guitar a warm, classic appearance that complements its vintage-inspired construction.
