Guild Starfire Deluxe SC GVT Cherry

Guild Starfire Deluxe SC GVT Cherry – semi-hollow single-cutaway electric guitar with HB-2+ humbuckers and Guild Vibrato

Guild Starfire Deluxe SC GVT Cherry is a single-cutaway semi-hollow electric guitar from Guild's Newark St. Collection, designed for players looking for classic 1960s-inspired character, warm resonance and a flexible electric tonal range. Its arched mahogany top and back, mahogany sides and set mahogany neck create a full and resonant semi-hollow foundation.

Two Guild HB-2+ humbucking pickups with Alnico V magnets combine warm vintage character with clear attack, crunch and definition. Each pickup has dedicated Volume and Tone controls, providing detailed control over balance and tone when the neck and bridge pickups are used individually or together.

The Cherry gloss polyurethane finish is paired with a Guild Vibrato tailpiece, Guild Tune-o-matic bridge, rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays and Grover G2TM open-gear tuners for a classic and refined overall design.

Overview and features

Single-cutaway semi-hollow mahogany body

Starfire Deluxe SC features a single-cutaway semi-hollow body with an arched mahogany top and back and mahogany sides. The construction provides a warm, open and resonant tonal foundation suitable for both clean sounds and more driven tones.

Guild HB-2+ humbuckers with Alnico V magnets

The two Guild HB-2+ humbuckers use Alnico V magnets and work together with the semi-hollow body to provide a broad tonal range, from full vintage warmth to more assertive crunch and clear definition.

Dedicated Volume and Tone controls

Each pickup has its own Volume and Tone control. This allows the neck and bridge pickups to be adjusted independently and provides additional flexibility when both pickups are combined.

Vintage Soft U mahogany neck

The set mahogany neck uses Guild's Vintage Soft U profile, providing a substantial yet comfortable playing feel with clear vintage inspiration.

Rosewood fingerboard with block inlays

The rosewood fingerboard features pearloid block inlays. Ivory-coloured fingerboard binding contributes to the guitar's classic Deluxe aesthetic.

Guild Vibrato and Tune-o-matic bridge

The Guild Tune-o-matic bridge is paired with a Guild Vibrato tailpiece, providing smooth and expressive vibrato capability while retaining the guitar's classic semi-hollow character.

Deluxe Trim Package

The Deluxe trim package includes ivory-coloured binding around the body, F-holes and fingerboard, 3-ply black and ivory purfling on the top and back, pearloid Guild Peak and Chesterfield headstock inlays, a black pickguard and a rosewood bridge base.

Cherry gloss polyurethane finish

The Cherry gloss polyurethane finish gives the guitar a classic appearance that complements its mahogany construction and strong 1960s-inspired design.
