Ibanez S520AH-OBF (Cosmic Blue Flat) – S Series Electric Guitar

The S520AH is an electric guitar from the Ibanez S series, in production since 1987, and has also served as the basis for various signature models, including the FGM100 (Frank Gambale). Its body is ergonomically shaped, tapering towards the edges on both front and back, allowing it to blend naturally with the player’s body when standing.

Neck and Fingerboard

The guitar features a 3-piece Wizard III maple neck with a 400 mm radius, offering a slightly rounder and thicker profile than the standard Wizard. It has 24 jumbo frets and a rosewood fingerboard with offset dot inlays, providing a balance of fast playability and natural feel in the hand.

Body and Tone

The body is made of ash with a pronounced grain. The tone delivers clear highs and tight, solid lows. Chords and riffs are distinct with good separation, while melodic lines are articulate even at faster tempos.

Electronics and Tremolo

Equipped with Quantum humbuckers, the guitar uses a 5-way switch with shared tone and volume controls. The switch positions allow series, parallel, and split-coil combinations, offering a variety of tonal and dynamic options. The Edge Zero II tremolo provides stability and smooth operation.
