The Schecter Avenger FR-S Red Reign RR is an electric guitar built with an ash body, multi-ply maple/padauk neck and an ebony fingerboard. The model features a Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge, Sustainiac system and a Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI bridge pickup.

Construction and Feel

The guitar features an arched top, set-neck construction with Ultra-Access, and a multi-ply maple/padauk neck reinforced with carbon rods. The ebony fingerboard includes Roman numeral inlays and Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dots. The neck has a Thin ’C’ profile measuring 20 mm at the first fret and 22 mm at the 12th fret. The scale length is 648 mm and the compound-radius fingerboard ranges from 12” to 16”. The guitar includes 24 X-Jumbo frets and a Floyd Rose 1500 Series locking nut.

Electronics and Functions

The electronics include a Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI bridge pickup and a Sustainiac neck pickup. Controls consist of volume, tone, a two-way Sustainiac on/off switch, a three-way Sustainiac mode selector (Fundamental, Mix, Harmonic), and a three-way pickup selector. The guitar also includes a 9V clip-in battery compartment and Hipshot O-ring control knobs.
