Schecter Mark Thwaite Solo-II Ultra Violet – signature model with Bigsby and Seymour Duncan pickups
Overview
Schecter Mark Thwaite Solo-II Ultra Violet is a signature model developed with Mark Thwaite, known from The Mission. Based on a classic single-cut design, the guitar combines set-neck construction, Bigsby vibrato, and Seymour Duncan pickups for clear response, musical dynamics, and stable playability.
Body and construction
The body is made from mahogany with a solid maple top and arched contour. The set-neck construction supports even resonance and sustain. Aged crème binding and the Ultra Violet finish give the guitar a distinctive visual character.
Neck and fingerboard
The neck is built from three pieces of mahogany and reinforced with carbon fiber rods for added stability. It features a Thin “C” profile and a 24.75” scale length. The rosewood fingerboard has 22 X-Jumbo frets, a 14” radius, and mother-of-pearl block inlays. A Graph Tech XL Ivory Tusq nut and a two-way adjustable truss rod allow precise setup.
Pickups and electronics
The guitar is equipped with a Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro II in the neck position and a Seymour Duncan JB SH-4B in the bridge position. Electronics include two volume controls, a push-pull tone control, and a three-way selector switch.
Bridge, tuners, and hardware
The bridge system consists of a Bigsby Archtop B70 combined with a Roller TonePros TOM bridge, providing smooth vibrato action with tuning stability. Schecter Locking tuners and gold hardware complete the design.
