Guild Starfire Custom DC GVT GH Nobel Stain is a double-cutaway semi-hollow electric guitar from Guild's Newark St. Collection, designed for players who want classic 1960s-inspired character with modern playability and refined details. Its arched mahogany top and back, mahogany sides and set mahogany neck provide a warm, resonant foundation with a distinctly semi-hollow response.

Two DeArmond Dynasonic single-coil pickups deliver a bright, punchy and articulate sound with distinctive twang. Individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup are joined by a Master Volume, allowing quick overall level changes without altering the balance between the pickup settings.

The Nobel Stain gloss finish is paired with gold hardware, a Guild Vibrato tailpiece, Grover G2TM open-gear tuners and an extensive Custom Trim Package featuring an ebony fingerboard, mother-of-pearl and abalone inlays, binding and decorative purfling.

Semi-hollow mahogany body

Starfire Custom DC features a double-cutaway semi-hollow body with an arched mahogany top and back and mahogany sides. The construction provides a resonant, woody foundation with warm midrange character and an open response.

DeArmond Dynasonic single-coil pickups

Dynasonic pickups were originally developed by Harry DeArmond in the 1940s and have a distinctive character compared with many other single-coil designs. They provide bright highs, punchy attack and strong definition with characteristic twang, complementing the resonant semi-hollow construction.

Individual Volume and Tone controls with Master Volume

Each pickup has its own Volume and Tone control, allowing the neck and bridge pickups to be balanced independently. A separate Master Volume then lets you adjust the overall output without changing the individual pickup settings.

Vintage Soft U mahogany neck

The set mahogany neck uses Guild's Vintage Soft U profile, providing a substantial and traditional playing feel that suits the guitar's vintage-inspired design.

Ebony fingerboard with V-block inlays

The ebony fingerboard is decorated with mother-of-pearl and abalone V-block inlays. Ivory-coloured binding around the fingerboard adds to the refined Custom aesthetic.

Guild Vibrato and Tune-o-matic bridge

The Guild Tune-o-matic bridge is paired with a gold Guild Vibrato tailpiece, providing smooth and expressive vibrato capability while retaining a classic semi-hollow layout.

Custom Trim Package

The Custom trim package includes ivory-coloured binding around the body, headstock, F-holes and fingerboard, 5-ply black and ivory purfling on the top and back, black and ivory F-hole purfling, a tortoise pickguard and mother-of-pearl Guild Peak and Chesterfield headstock inlays.

Nobel Stain finish and gold hardware

The gloss Nobel Stain finish highlights the visual character of the mahogany and is paired with gold hardware for a classic and refined appearance. Grover G2TM open-gear tuners complete the vintage-inspired design.
