The Ibanez AZ47P2K Premium was developed in close collaboration with professional musicians to create a reliable and adaptable instrument for modern playing styles. Designed for both comfort and tonal response, it handles a wide range of musical genres with ease.

Roasted maple neck with oil finish

The one-piece roasted maple neck is heat-treated in a vacuum oven to increase stability and give the wood a dry, resonant character. Finished with oil for a natural, broken-in feel, it ensures smooth playability without stickiness.

Modern neck profile and compound radius

The oval C-shaped neck is slightly thicker than typical Ibanez profiles, yet remains fast and comfortable. The compound 228–305 mm radius makes the ebony fingerboard equally suited for chords and lead work. Rolled fretboard edges enhance the overall playing experience.

Contoured body with enhanced neck joint

The body, crafted from American basswood with a Hawaiian koa top, features rounded edges and an ergonomic rear contour for improved comfort. Ibanez’s Super All Access Neck Joint allows easy access to upper frets without compromising tone or structural integrity.

DiMarzio® HSH pickup configuration

Equipped with DiMarzio® Air Norton (neck), True Velvet (middle), and The Tone Zone (bridge), the AZ47P2K covers everything from clean tones to aggressive distortion. This setup supports diverse playing styles and dynamic tone shaping.

Upgraded tremolo system

The Gotoh® T1502 tremolo, based on the renowned 510 system, features enhanced stability and a play-free arm socket. With a 10.5 mm string spacing and smooth response, it supports expressive vibrato and precise control.
