The ESP LTD Phoenix-7 Baritone Black Metal Black Redburst Satin is a 7-string baritone guitar from the Black Metal II series, developed for modern metal, low tunings and a powerful yet controlled sound. The model combines a 27" scale length with Neck-Thru construction, a mahogany body with maple cap, a three-piece mahogany neck and a Macassar ebony fingerboard.

The extended baritone scale helps the lower strings retain a tight and defined response when tuning down. The Thin U neck profile, 400 mm fingerboard radius and 22 Extra Jumbo stainless steel frets provide a direct and stable playing feel, while the stripped-back electronics keep the focus on a single Seymour Duncan Mortal Coil 7 3-Voice Active pickup in the bridge position.

The bridge position is equipped with a Seymour Duncan Mortal Coil 7 3-Voice Active humbucker. The pickup offers three different voicings selected using the dedicated Voice Selection switch, providing several tonal characters from a single pickup position while keeping the control layout simple and direct.

27" baritone scale for low tunings

The 27" scale length provides greater string tension than a traditional guitar scale and contributes to a clearer attack and improved definition in the lower register. This makes the model particularly well suited to 7-string playing and down-tuned applications where a tight low string is important.

Neck-Thru construction and Thin U neck
