Warm Audio WA-RA Reamper – Two-Channel Reamp and Routing Unit for Studio, Amplifiers and Pedal Setups
Warm Audio WA-RA Reamper is a two-channel active instrument preamp and reamp tool developed to connect DAWs, guitar amplifiers, pedals, synths and studio equipment within one flexible routing platform. The unit is built to simplify re-amping, the integration of line-level signals with guitar gear, and creative signal workflows in both studio and home environments.
With separate instrument preamp and reamp paths, CineMag transformers, a selectable JFET input stage and a built-in power soak for silent recording of tube amplifiers up to 50 W, WA-RA offers both practical signal handling and creative tone shaping.
Overview and Features
WA-RA Reamper is designed to provide smooth signal conversion between instrument, line and speaker levels, while creating flexible workflows between recording environments and traditional amplifier or pedal-based equipment.
Two-channel instrument preamp and reamp
The unit is built with two channels and features separate paths for instrument preamp and reamp. This makes it possible to send dry DAW tracks through real tube amplifiers or pedal chains, or to integrate studio processors into guitar signal chains.
CineMag transformers
Each signal path is equipped with custom CineMag USA transformers for isolation and analogue signal handling between different signal levels.
Selectable JFET input stage
WA-RA offers a choice between JFET discrete and JFET op-amp in the input stage, making it possible to choose between clean signal handling and more analogue colouration.
Built-in power soak for silent recording
The unit has a built-in speaker input with a power soak rated at 8 ohms and up to 50 watts. This makes it possible to record a driven tube amplifier without connecting a speaker cabinet.
Stepless reamp level and line output
The reamp output has stepless level control for matching the signal to different amplifiers and pedal setups. The balanced line output is available on both XLR and 1/4-inch connections and operates at true line level.
For guitar, synths and studio processing
WA-RA can be used for more than guitar. Line-level sources such as synths, drum machines or recorded tracks can be routed through pedals, amplifiers or studio processors to create new textures and more experimental workflows.
