The Gibson Hummingbird Studio Walnut Natural continues Gibson’s tradition of world-famous square-shouldered acoustics. Handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, this model pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with solid walnut back and sides, producing a warm, articulate tone that sits between maple’s brightness and rosewood’s depth. With its full-depth body, the Hummingbird Studio Walnut offers powerful projection and dynamic range for both strumming and fingerstyle players.

Construction and Feel

The utile neck with an Advanced Response profile provides smooth comfort and excellent playability. The walnut fingerboard features 20 frets, a 16" radius, and mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays — a signature look of the Hummingbird line. Finished in natural nitrocellulose lacquer, it feels as refined as it looks.

Electronics and Hardware

Equipped with an LR Baggs Element Bronze active under-saddle pickup with soundhole-mounted volume control for natural, studio-ready amplification. Nickel Grover Rotomatic tuners and TUSQ nut, saddle, and bridge pins ensure tuning stability and tonal clarity. Includes a modern Gibson hardshell case.
