The Gibson J-45 Studio Rosewood Burst is part of Gibson’s Studio Series, handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana. Combining Gibson’s heritage craftsmanship with modern versatility, it’s designed for both live and studio performance.

Design and materials

Featuring the classic round-shoulder J-45 body, this model pairs a gloss nitrocellulose Sitka spruce top in Rosewood Burst finish with rosewood back and sides. Multi-ply top binding and single-ply back binding complete the traditional Gibson aesthetic.

Neck and playability

The utile neck features an Advanced Response profile for enhanced comfort. With a rosewood fingerboard, 24.75" scale length, and 43.8 mm nut width, the J-45 Studio offers a smooth, balanced feel across all positions.

Electronics and hardware

Equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element Bronze undersaddle pickup and soundhole-mounted volume control, it’s ready for the stage. Grover Rotomatic tuners, a rosewood belly-up bridge, TUSQ nut and saddle, and a modern hardshell case are included.
