The Ibanez AE390-NTA is a western guitar with pickup and cutaway design, developed for a wide range of playing styles and musical genres. The construction is based on feedback from professional artists and focuses on playability, tonal balance, and sound projection.

Tone and construction

The body is made of flamed maple and the top of solid spruce, providing a woody and warm tone with soft, dynamic response for fingerstyle playing and clear projection with punchy midrange for pick playing. The specially designed X-M bracing combined with back bracing enhances tone projection and sustain, making it suitable for both solo and ensemble performance.

Electronics and sound port

The guitar is equipped with an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup and an active preamp that preserves the instrument’s natural sound. The AE390 also features an A.I.R. Port, a sound port facing the player for improved monitoring and directed sound projection.

Neck and playability

The neck is made of maple with rounded fingerboard edges for comfort. The fingerboard and bridge are made of rosewood, and jumbo frets provide flexibility for different playing styles. The scale length is 648 mm with a nut width of 44 mm.

Body and design

The AE body with cutaway provides a comfortable playing position and balanced tone for both studio and stage. Abalone and maple inlays, along with the rosette and soundhole binding, complete the design. Gold-colored tuners and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins are used for durability and precision.
