The AE100-BUF is part of Ibanez’s AE series, designed to deliver a well-balanced tone and a comfortable playing feel. The AE-shaped body is made entirely of mahogany, producing a warm, woody tone with clear projection in the midrange. The solid Sitka spruce top adds resonance and sustain, making the guitar suitable for both fingerstyle and flatpicking. The Nyatoh neck features a Comfort Grip profile, while the laurel fingerboard ensures stability and smooth playability. Fingerboard inlays and an abalone rosette around the soundhole complete the instrument’s aesthetic.

Electronics and Features

The AE100-BUF comes equipped with an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup combined with the AEQ-TP2 preamp and built-in tuner. The system offers both balanced XLR and 1/4" outputs, providing flexibility for live performance and studio recording. A key feature is the A.I.R. Port (Acoustic Information Response) on the side of the body, directing the sound toward the player for improved monitoring without affecting the natural tone.

Dimensions and Finish

The guitar features a burgundy flat finish and comes with D’Addario XTAPB1253 strings and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. It is compatible with the FS40DA hard case and IAB540-BK gig bag.
