Schecter DJ Ashba Carbon Grey – signature model with Sustainiac and Floyd Rose 1500

Schecter DJ Ashba Carbon Grey is a signature model built for stable playability and clear response, featuring a Floyd Rose bridge and active electronics. The combination of bolt-on construction, an alder body, and a Sustainiac®/EMG configuration makes it suitable for both stage and studio use.

Overview

Body and construction

The body is made from alder and features a flat top design with black 1-ply binding. The bolt-on construction supports fast attack and clear note separation. Hardware is finished in black for a cohesive look with the Carbon Grey finish.

Neck and fingerboard

The neck is maple with a Thin “C” profile. The ebony fingerboard has 22 X-Jumbo frets and a 14” radius. The inlays are “Birds on a Wire”. A Floyd Rose 1500 locking nut is used as part of the tremolo system, and a two-way adjustable truss rod supports precise setup.

Pickups and electronics

The guitar is equipped with an EMG 81 in the bridge position and a Sustainiac® in the neck position. The Sustainiac system offers three modes – Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic – plus a dedicated on/off switch. Pickup selection is handled via a three-way switch, and the model includes a volume control. Active electronics are powered by a double 9 V clip-in battery compartment.

The bridge is a Floyd Rose 1500 system with locking nut, designed for tuning stability during intensive tremolo use. Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners support reliable tuning performance. Hardware is finished in black.
