Signature Guitar – Ibanez YY20-OCS Yvette Young Signature

The Ibanez YY20-OCS is a signature model developed in collaboration with Yvette Young, known for her genre-defying playing and distinctive musical voice. The guitar is based on Ibanez’s Talman design – a classic single-cutaway shape with Tele-style pickup configuration. It features passive Seymour Duncan single coil pickups and reliable Gotoh® hardware for stable tuning and precise intonation.

Construction and Tonewoods

The body features the classic Talman shape and is made from alder, delivering a balanced tone with clear definition. The maple neck has a slightly thicker C-shaped profile, providing a solid feel in hand. The rosewood fretboard comes with 22 medium frets and white dot inlays. The nut is made of bone.

Electronics and Hardware

The YY20-OCS is equipped with two Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro single coil pickups – one in the neck position and one in the bridge – for a clear, articulate sound with vintage character. The Gotoh® GTC202 bridge ensures accurate intonation and solid string-to-body transfer. Gotoh® MG-T locking tuners provide tuning stability, even during dynamic playing.

Neck Profile and Dimensions

The neck has a 648 mm scale length and a 250 mm radius, offering a balanced feel for both chord work and lead playing. Thickness is 20 mm at the 1st fret and 22.3 mm at the 12th fret, with a nut width of 42.8 mm and 56.4 mm at the last fret.
