Sennheiser MKE 400 – compact shotgun microphone for cameras and mobile video production
Sennheiser MKE 400 is a compact directional shotgun microphone designed for vloggers, filmmakers and content creators who need professional sound in a portable setup. Its supercardioid capsule uses an acoustic interference tube to focus on the desired sound source while rejecting background noise.
Directional audio for video production
The supercardioid pickup pattern isolates voices and reduces environmental noise, making the microphone suitable for interviews, vlogging and documentary production.
Control and monitoring
The microphone includes a switchable low-cut filter to reduce wind noise and low-frequency rumble. A three-step sensitivity switch allows users to adjust the recording level depending on the environment.
An integrated headphone output with adjustable volume allows real-time audio monitoring.
Camera and smartphone compatibility
The MKE 400 includes both 3.5 mm TRS and TRRS cables, allowing it to connect to DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras and mobile devices.
The microphone automatically powers on when connected to compatible cameras and runs for up to 100 hours on two AAA batteries.
