Allen & Heath SQ-7+ is the largest model in the SQ+ series, designed for larger live productions, AV, installation, touring, theatre, houses of worship, broadcast and professional mixing. With a 96 kHz XCVI core, 48 input channels, ultra-low latency, 32 local mic/line inputs and 16 XLR outputs, it delivers high audio quality and extensive hands-on control in a robust digital mixer format.

SQ-7+ combines a class-leading audio engine with 33 motorised faders, 16 SoftKeys, 8 SoftRotaries, a 9-inch touchscreen and 6 customisable channel strip layers. It is built for productions where fast access to multiple channels, mixes, DCA groups and functions is essential.

Overview and features

SQ-7+ is built around Allen & Heath’s 96 kHz XCVI core for phase-coherent mixing, high resolution and latency below 0.7 ms from local mic input to local Main L/R output with all processing enabled. The mixer handles 48 input channels and offers Stereo Main LR, 12 stereo aux/group mixes, 6 mono/linkable matrices and full channel and mix processing.

Local connectivity includes 32 XLR mic/line inputs, 16 XLR outputs, 3 stereo line inputs, XLR talkback input, AES3 stereo digital output, 2 TRS outputs, stereo headphone output, USB-A, USB-B and a 128x128 intelligent SLink port for expansion.

96 kHz XCVI core

The internal XCVI engine runs at 96 kHz and provides wide dynamic range, high resolution and low latency. The system is designed to deliver fast response and stable sound quality even in larger productions with many channels and processors active.

33 motorised faders

SQ-7+ features 33 x 100 mm motorised faders, giving more direct hands-on control than the smaller models in the series. Together with 6 channel strip layers, the surface can be adapted for FOH, monitor, theatre, broadcast or installation work.

9-inch touchscreen and expanded control

The capacitive 9-inch touchscreen has a dark, easy-to-read interface. With 16 SoftKeys and 8 SoftRotaries, key functions, effects, mute groups, scenes and parameters can be placed exactly where they are needed for a faster workflow.

RackExtra FX, RackUltra FX and DEEP Processing

SQ-7+ includes 8 RackExtra FX engines and 4 RackUltra FX engines with dedicated send and return channels. RackUltra FX provides access to premium effects such as reverbs, vocal tools, pitch processors, distortion and saturation. The mixer is also ready for DEEP Processing directly in channel and mix strips.
