The Ibanez AAM70CE-TBN is an acoustic guitar with cutaway and pickup, part of the Advanced Auditorium series. It is designed for balanced tone and playability, suitable for both studio and stage use. Crafted from carefully selected tonewoods, it combines precision construction with focus on tone and functionality.

Tone and construction

The body features a solid Sitka spruce top with Macassar ebony back and sides, providing a rich tonal range and long sustain. The specially designed X-M bracing enhances sound projection and overall tonal balance.

Sound port

The AAM70CE includes Ibanez’s A.I.R. Port (Acoustic-Information-Response) system, positioned toward the player for improved monitoring. Angled wooden blocks guide the sound through the port, offering clear feedback without affecting the natural acoustic tone.

Neck and playability

The Okoume neck with low oval grip and Purpleheart fingerboard provides comfort and control. With a 43 mm nut width and 634 mm scale, it offers smooth playability for both fingerpicking and strumming styles.

Electronics and outputs

Equipped with a compact AEQ-TP2 preamp featuring an onboard tuner and an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup. Balanced XLR and 1/4’’ outputs deliver a clear, natural, and noise-free amplified sound.

Body and design

The Advanced Auditorium body with cutaway and rounded edges ensures ergonomic playability. Chrome die-cast tuners (18:1 ratio) and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins provide tuning stability. Strung with D’Addario Coated Phosphor Bronze strings (012–053). Compatible gigbag: IAB540-BK.
