The Ibanez AAM740E-LG is an all-solid western guitar with built-in pickup and hardcase, part of the Advanced Auditorium series. It is designed to combine comfortable playability with a balanced and full tone, suitable for both studio and stage.

Body and Construction

The guitar features a solid African mahogany top, back, and sides, providing clarity and resonance. The specially designed X-M bracing delivers strong projection and long sustain, suitable for both pick and fingerstyle playing.

A.I.R. Port – Acoustic Information Response

The AAM740E includes A.I.R. Port, an additional side sound port aimed at the player. Angled wooden inserts direct the sound efficiently out of the port, providing clear and natural monitoring directly from the instrument.

Electronics and Features

Equipped with a compact Ibanez Custom Electronics preamp, including undersaddle and contact pickups, the guitar offers separate volume and tone controls for each pickup. This preserves the acoustic tone while providing stable, interference-free amplified sound.

Neck and Playability

The Thermo-Aged African mahogany neck has a Low Oval profile with rounded edges on the Macassar ebony fingerboard. The scalloped bridge and bone components contribute to stable tone transfer and reliable tuning.
