Schecter PT Standard Purple Burst Burl

Schecter PT Standard Purple Burst Burl – electric guitar with figured burl top and dual humbuckers

Schecter PT Standard Purple Burst Burl is a 6-string electric guitar with a mahogany body, figured burl top, bolt-on roasted maple neck and two passive Schecter Diamond Standard humbuckers. With a 25.5-inch scale length, 22 jumbo frets, Thin C neck profile and fixed Diamond Hardtail bridge, it combines classic PT styling with modern playability and a versatile sound for both clean and driven tones.

Overview and features

PT body shape with mahogany and figured burl top

The PT Standard is based on Schecter's classic T-inspired single-cutaway body shape. The mahogany body features a decorative figured burl top, with the Purple Burst Burl finish highlighting the distinctive grain pattern.

Roasted maple neck with Thin C profile

The bolt-on neck is made from roasted maple and uses Schecter's Thin C profile for a fast and comfortable playing feel. The rosewood fingerboard has a 14-inch radius and 22 jumbo frets, providing plenty of room for chord work, bends and lead playing.

The 25.5-inch scale length provides clear attack and familiar string tension, making the guitar well suited to both standard and alternative tunings.

Two Schecter Diamond Standard humbuckers

The PT Standard Purple Burst Burl is fitted with two passive Schecter Diamond Standard humbuckers with black metal covers. The bridge pickup provides clear attack and good note separation for riffs and driven tones, while the neck pickup offers a fuller, smoother sound for lead work and clean tones.

Controls consist of Master Volume, Master Tone and a 3-way pickup selector, allowing quick selection of the bridge pickup, neck pickup or both together.

Diamond Hardtail for stable response

The fixed Schecter Diamond Hardtail bridge provides a stable platform with direct response and good sustain. Together with Schecter tuners and a 42 mm graphite nut, it creates a dependable setup that is straightforward to maintain and retune.

Classic shape with modern playability

With its PT body shape, Thin C neck, 22 jumbo frets and dual humbuckers, the model combines familiar styling with modern specifications. This makes it a versatile choice for practice, recording and live performance.
