Gibson Theodore Standard

The Gibson Theodore Standard is based on drawings and notes from Gibson president Theodore "Ted" McCarty from 1957. The body is made of mahogany with double Florentine cutaways, providing full access to all 22 frets. The balanced construction ensures comfort during playing.

Neck and Fingerboard

The neck is mahogany with a Slim Taper™ profile and an Indian rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets. The nut is Graph Tech, 43.05 mm wide. Inlays are trapezoid acrylic. The unique scimitar headstock features Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners.

Electronics and Controls

The guitar has a 57 Classic humbucker in the neck and a 57 Classic Plus humbucker in the bridge. Tone is controlled via master volume and master tone, with circuits hand-wired using Orange Drop capacitors. The pickup combination and construction provide long sustain and a wide tonal range.

Hardware and Accessories

The bridge is an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic, and the tailpiece is aluminum. Hardware is nickel-plated. The guitar comes with a hardshell case.
