Xsynth combines the features of a master keyboard, synthesizer, MIDI interface and sound card in one portable format.

Based on the popular Xkey series, it offers full functionality for sketching musical ideas and realizing them – in the studio, on the road or at home. Thanks to USB-C connectivity, class-compliant audio transmission and support for both computers and mobile devices, Xsynth is a flexible solution for music creators on the go.

Powerful synthesis engine in a portable format

Xsynth is a virtual analog subtractive synthesizer based on ROM samples. It offers up to 10 voices of polyphony, three oscillators, three LFOs, three AHDSR envelopes and three effects units including EQ. With 512 patch memories and a 16-slot modulation matrix, the sound design possibilities are extensive.

Arpeggiator, glide and other performance aids provide musical expression directly from the keyboard.

Intuitive controls and user interface

The keyboard consists of 25 full-size, velocity-sensitive keys with polyphonic aftertouch. Four programmable knobs and a separate patch knob provide direct access to the synthesizer's parameters, while clear buttons let you control octave modes, hold function, pitch bend, modulation and arpeggiator. All information is shown in real time on a built-in display.

Connections and audio interfaces

Xsynth also functions as an audio interface with support for 24-bit/96 kHz recording of both the internal synth engine and external audio input.

It has combined MIDI in/out ports via 3.5 mm connectors as well as headphone, line and aux outputs. The sound card is bus-powered via USB and works directly without drivers on Mac or via ASIO/EWDM on Windows.

To get you started right away, a software package is included:

• Steinberg Cubasis LE – A multitouch sequencer for iOS with easy operation.
