The Camden 500 is a microphone preamp engineered to deliver ultra-low noise, minimal distortion, and linear frequency and phase response. With a wide frequency range and precise signal reproduction, it suits all types of recording setups—from studios that demand sonic clarity to creative environments that require versatility.

Built-in analog saturation

Camden 500 also features an analog coloration mode called Mojo, which introduces harmonic distortion and saturation. This mode emulates the tonal qualities of vintage gear and can be used to add weight and warmth to the signal—or bypassed entirely for a clean and transparent path.

Designed for professional signal chains

Built around a custom discrete circuit, the preamp includes a 12-position stepped gain control with 5.5 dB increments, allowing for easy recall and precise stereo matching. A three-way input switch provides optimized settings for microphone, line, and Hi-Z sources. The Camden 500 also features a progressive-slope high-pass filter that retains useful low-end content while removing unwanted sub-bass.
