Kala Solid Body U•BASS – 4-String Electric Bass in Powder Blue

This short-scale electric bass builds on the concept of Kala’s original California Series U•BASS®, offering a new take in a compact format. The offset body shape is designed for balance and comfortable playability, while the 23.5" scale length and 22 frets provide ample playing space without making the instrument bulky.

The passive split-coil pickup delivers a thick and defined tone. The instrument comes with a padded gig bag and a truss rod adjustment tool.

Construction and Materials

The top and body are made of okoume, with a maple neck and laurel fingerboard. The finish is glossy in Powder Blue, and the instrument features a 3-ply black pickguard. The black, top-loaded bridge features four saddles, and the tuning machines have a 1:18 gear ratio.

Electronics and Hardware

Equipped with a passive split-coil pickup and separate volume and tone controls. It comes strung with Kala Round Wound strings and includes two black strap buttons.

Transport and Accessories

A custom-fit gig bag for the Solid Body U•BASS® is included. The instrument also fits Kala’s Gray Tweed Hard Case.
