Kala Solid Body 5-String U•BASS – Sunburst, Fretted Model

This short-scale electric bass builds on the U•BASS concept and takes inspiration from the California Series design. With a solid okoume body in an offset shape and a compact 23.5" scale length, it's comfortable to play and easy to transport. It features 22 frets and a passive humbucker pickup that delivers a full and focused tone.

Construction and Materials

The body, top, and neck are made from okoume and maple, paired with a laurel fingerboard. The glossy finish and ergonomic shape enhance playability. The bridge is a top-loaded 5-saddle model in black, and the tuners are closed gear with a 1:18 ratio. The neck includes a truss rod for adjustment.

Electronics and Hardware

Equipped with a passive humbucker pickup, the bass has volume and tone controls, two black strap buttons, and a white single-ply pickguard. It comes strung with Kala Round Wound strings, designed for short-scale instruments. A truss rod adjustment tool is included.

Bag and Compatibility

Includes a custom-fitted gig bag. Also compatible with the Kala Solid Body U•BASS Gray Tweed Hard Case.
