Orange Outlowd ES100 is a professional 100 W RMS acoustic combo amplifier with separate guitar and microphone channels, a 12-inch Celestion Neodymium speaker and a dedicated 1-inch HF tweeter. Developed in collaboration with Ed Sheeran, it is designed for acoustic musicians and singer-songwriters who need generous clean headroom, detailed EQ control and flexible connectivity for professional stage use.

As the flagship model in the Outlowd ES Series, ES100 combines Precision EQ, independent reverb for both channels, +48 V phantom power, a high-pass filter, effects loop and balanced XLR output. It can be used as a standalone amplifier or integrated into a larger PA or recording system.

Overview and features

100 W RMS with generous clean headroom

Outlowd ES100 delivers 100 W RMS and is designed to reproduce acoustic guitar and vocals clearly at higher output levels. Its solid-state amplifier design provides generous clean headroom and is intended to preserve a natural, dynamic sound.

12-inch Celestion Neodymium speaker and dedicated HF tweeter

The amplifier features a 12-inch Celestion Neodymium speaker together with a dedicated 1-inch HF tweeter. This combination provides broad frequency reproduction with solid low end, clear mids and detailed high frequencies for both acoustic guitar and vocals.

The Neodymium speaker construction also helps reduce weight compared with many conventional speaker designs.

Separate guitar and microphone channels

ES100 provides two independent channels for acoustic guitar and microphone. Both channels have their own EQ and reverb controls, allowing instrument and vocal signals to be adjusted independently.

The guitar channel provides Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble, Frequency, Q and Reverb. The microphone channel provides Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble, Frequency and Reverb together with a combined XLR/jack input.

Precision EQ and feedback control

The guitar channel's sweepable midrange and adjustable Q provide precise control over the frequency response. A narrower Q setting can be used to reduce resonances and problematic frequencies that contribute to acoustic feedback.

The microphone channel also offers adjustable midrange frequency together with a high-pass filter for reducing unwanted low-frequency content.

+48 V phantom power on the microphone channel

The microphone channel provides switchable +48 V phantom power for compatible condenser microphones, allowing ES100 to work with both dynamic microphones and models requiring phantom power.

Hall reverb for guitar and Plate reverb for vocals

The two channels have independent reverb controls. The guitar channel uses Hall reverb to add space and depth, while the microphone channel uses Plate reverb suited to vocals.

Independent reverb levels make it possible to apply different amounts of ambience to guitar and vocals while maintaining clarity.

Effects loop for external processors

The built-in effects loop allows external pedals and processors to be integrated into the amplifier's signal path. This is useful for delay, modulation and other effects that are typically placed after the preamp stage.

Balanced XLR output for PA and recording

The balanced XLR output allows ES100 to connect directly to a mixer, PA system or compatible recording equipment. A Ground/Lift switch helps manage ground-related hum when connecting external equipment.

AUX input and Master Volume

The AUX input provides a connection for external audio sources, while Master Volume offers overall control of the amplifier's output level.
